Witnessing 101-Part IV

Witnessing 101-Sharing Jesus-Part IV
The Romans Road to Salvation

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes... Romans 1:16 (NKJV)

We have been looking at a series of devotionals about witnessing to others the Gospel message of Jesus Christ.  The Gospel message is a simple one, Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. (See 1 Cor. 15:3-4)

In Part IV of this study, I want to give an outline for sharing this message.  This outline is called, The Romans Road to salvation.  The Romans Road to salvation is a simple, yet concise way of answering these 5-questions:

*    Who needs salvation?
*    Why we need salvation?
*    How does God provide salvation?
*    How do we receive salvation?
*    What are the results of salvation?

So, to show you how easy we can answer these 5-questions, I am going to give you the 11-verses contained within the Book of Romans that will answer them.  I want you to be able to read them straight through to see how this message flows.

Romans 3:10 As it is written:  There is none righteous, no, not one;"

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:13 For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,

Romans 8:39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I want to encourage you to print out this devotional and to start to memorize each of the Scriptures above.  These will be the essential tools that you will use to share the Gospel message and to lead someone to the saving knowledge of what Jesus did some 2000-years ago.

In the Part V of this series, we will begin to break down these Scriptures so that we can fully understand and share them.

STUDY QUESTION: According to Romans 1:16, why shouldn't we be ashamed of the Gospel?

PERSONAL INVENTORY: Are you willing to commit to memorizing these scriptures so that you can share them with others who dont know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?

APPLICATION: Walk in faith.  Learn the scriptures, and then allow God to bring people into your life.  Don't worry about whether you have what it takes or not, because that is not the issue.  The issue is whether you will allow God to work through you.  Hes God, so lets not limit His abilities, even if we doubt our own.

Father, Thank You for giving us these Scriptures to assure us of what we all need to know.  Thank You for teaching me and for empowering me to do the things that don't come natural or that even may be uncomfortable.  In Jesus precious name, amen...
