Find Waldo!

Find Waldo!
What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written: God has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that they should not see And ears that they should not hear, To this very day. Romans 11:7-8 (NKJV)
Israel was a chosen nation made up of chosen people. God had chosen them to manifest Himself and His glory through. He performed divine miraculous acts for the whole earth to see, and to be in awe over. He gave them provisions, protection, and a promise of abundance. But they turned their backs on the true God and exchanged Him for carved images and false gods. Even after this, God brought word through the prophets that He would restore their nation, and that He would heal their land if they would turn from their wickedness, and cry out to Him. The prophets spoke hundreds of times about a Messiah that was to come and save them. Details so specific that there could be no mistaking Him, including His name, where He would be born and much more.
The Jewish people became stiffnecked and refused to accept these prophecies with respect to them pertaining to Jesus. And in the process, all but a small chosen remnant rejected Jesus, and had Him crucified. When this happened, God gave the Jewish people a spirit of stupor, and He blinded them in a way that they could no longer see the truth, or hear it either. He didnt change their ability to choose freely, He just allowed there hearts to remain as they truly were, hardened. The Jewish people chose to seek salvation in their works instead of grace, and they have continued to do this to this very day. In doing this, God opened a door for the gentiles, the non-Jewish people, to hear and receive the message of Jesus Christ.
For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. Romans 11:25 (NKJV)
The scriptures go on to tell us that this blindness upon the Jewish people will continue until the fullness of Gentiles has come in.
    So what does this mean?
Well, first of all it means that Gods grace will be upon us until the very last person makes that profession of faith in Jesus. You see, God knows exactly who will, and who wont accept His son as Lord and Savior. It is no mystery to Him because He knows all things that are to come. So, He is waiting for that last person to say yes to the invitation to accept that free gift of salvation.
    So when will this be?
We dont know exactly, but we do know that once this has happened, then Jesus will come and gather the church and we will be caught up into the heavens with Him.
We dont know who will, or wont accept Christ so we are to live a loving life before everyone as if they are the last person who is to be saved. We dont cast judgment nor should we write anyone off, because that is not our given position or within our power to decide. It is Gods alone. We are to be faithful to share the Gospel message with everyone that we are able to do so with.
I cant help but think about those picture puzzles that were called, Find Waldo. There is a picture of hundreds of people in cartoon fashion, and one person on the page is Waldo. He is dressed with a white and red stripped clothing. And although a person could look for him for a lengthy period with no success, he is literally right in front of the viewer.
    How could this be?
I think it is because they had such interesting pictures of people doing all sorts of other things, and the tactic was to keep you interested in staring at them instead of focusing of the job at hand. Isnt that the way the devil also works? We set off and attempt to go out and be witnesses, living our lives for the Lord, and we start to look at all the stuff that is going on around us, but there are so many distractions. And before you know it, we have lost focus in our objectives.
And there is someone who needs to hear the great news about what Jesus did on the Cross of Calvary. And theyre right in front of us the whole time, just like Waldo.
Well Christian, were getting close to the end of times; the fullness of Gentiles is at hand. Somewhere out there are the last Waldos to find, and they could be working along side of you, or they can be living next door. What if that family member was the last one?
Somewhere on this planet today is someone, and God only knows who they may be; they are the last one among the Gentiles to be ushered into Gods Kingdom. When they make that decision to open the doors of their heart and invite Jesus in, we will be caught up to meet our Lord in a twinkling of an eye.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1Thessalonians 4:17 (NKJV)
STUDY QUESTION: Only a small remnant of Jews (The elect) accepted Jesus as the Messiah, and the rest could not attain righteousness by their works no matter how much they sought to do so. According to Romans 11:25 what did God do to those Jewish people who denied Jesus and relied upon their own abilities?
PERSONAL INVENTORY: Have you made a profession of faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, or are you, like the Jewish people, seeking to attain righteousness on your own merit?
APPLICATION: Be willing to share the Gospel with anyone at any time, because they might just be the last Gentile to hear and accept Him as Lord and Savior.
Father, Thank You for Your unmerited grace and love. Thank You for waiting for me to make that profession of faith in Your son as my savior. Help me to share this simple message with whomever you lay upon my heart today. In Jesus precious name, amen&
